THE MOTHER OF ALL SCREENS SOLD AT HANNAMS

Hannam’s Auctioneers, Selborne finished 2017 with their largest and best ever sale. Spread over three days, covering antiquities from all categories and all corners of the world, the 2,460 lot auction was attended by 3,560 approved registered bidders online, 75 telephone bidders, and a room full of customers. LOUIS VUITTON TRUNKS TRAVEL THROUGH AUCTION

A fantastic collection of Louis Vuitton suitcases, trunks and large travelling wardrobes were sold at Hannam’s Auctioneers in their October fine art auction. One of the items, with all the original internal fixtures and fittings, standing over a metre in height sold for £7,000 to an internet bidder. Another smaller similar trunk, with shelves and a hanging rail sold to a telephone bidder for £4,000.

Known as the ‘Turkish Da Vinci’, Ilhan Koman (1921-1986) was an important figure in the history of Turkish modern and contemporary art.
