Our specialist valuers can assess your items and place a value based on the current market conditions and historical information related to it.

We also offer free valuation consultations at our saleroom, in Selborne every Monday from 10am (we do recommend creating an appointment first) and also free house visits to the public if needed.

Probate


Hannam's can assist by providing a comprehensive professional probate valuation of an estate. We can take the worry out of your hands by helping you value an estate and settle the affairs. Our valuers will provide a researched detailed report following an appointment to attend the estate in question. Within the report, a list of the contents with value of £250 or greater shall be constructed in accordance with Section 160 of the Inheritance Tax Act of 1984.

House Clearances


If a property needs full or partial clearance of its contents or services are required to assist with a post-probate valuation where executors require the contents of the estate to be removed, then Hannam’s can assist. We can arrange for a third party professional antique removal company to collect the contents from the estate and deliver them to the auction room.

We at Hannam’s recommend ‘3 Counties Recycle & Reuse’. They offer professional clearance services across Hampshire, Berkshire, Surrey & London. For two/three Men and a full-sized Luton Van it would cost £450 (inc VAT) involving packing and safely removing your items from the property.

Those items within the property unsuitable for auction will be removed, any items that need to be taken to a local household waste recycling centre will be charged at an extra £225+VAT per van load. 3 Counties Recycle & Reuse are also a registered Environment Agency waste carrier.

Insurance Valuations


Some insurers may require or recommend that you have a professional valuation document to support any claims for an item, should something unexpected happen. Alternatively you may wish for a formal valuation of items in your home to ensure you apply the correct insurance policy via the right provider. We offer selected valuation for specific items or indeed a full valuation of your property, depending on your needs.
